Microsoft CRM.

OfficeStandard only offers one product - Microsoft CRM. There are 2 key reasons for this. First, Microsoft CRM is destined to become the de facto standard CRM solution for small and mid-sized companies. Second, it requires an incredible focus of time and resource to become proficient at implementing any single software application. Resellers that offer multiple solutions are typically broad in selection but shallow in expertise. OfficeStandard will remain narrow in our offerings but deep in expertise.

The hallmarks of the OfficeStandard solution are:

Fixed price. Our team will work with you to tightly define the scope of your project and then provide a fixed-price quote. We can do this because (1) Microsoft CRM is not complex and confusing like other CRM systems, and (2) we are not top-heavy with expensive consultants that need to be billable.

Rapid install. Working with the Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) Consulting team and their QuickStart implementation program (see below), we will have your solution up-and-running quickly, usually within 2 weeks.

Guaranteed. If the implementation is not completed to your satisfaction within the timeframe promised, or you are unhappy for any reason, we will provide a refund. The refund will include all hardware and an agreed-upon portion of software and services.

OfficeStandard offers implementation of Microsoft CRM in three scenarios:

SureStart Pilot. This is a special program for companies that are not ready to upgrade their technology backbone, but want to implement Microsoft CRM and begin building their .NET infrastructure.

SureStart Rollout. This is for companies that meet the minimum hardware and software requirements for Microsoft CRM, are prepared to upgrade, or have already implemented the SureSart Pilot Program.

SureStart Online. This is for companies that want to implement Microsoft CRM, but want their solution hosted by an Application Service Provider (ASP).

No matter which scenario meets your needs, OfficeStandard will always offer a fixed-price, rapidly installed implementation.

SureStart for Microsoft CRM.

SureStart Pilot. The OfficeStandard SureStart Pilot program was developed to help companies that are not ready to upgrade their technology backbone, but want to implement Microsoft CRM and begin building their .NET infrastructure. This is a complete solution including:

Server hardware - all the servers needed to host Microsoft CRM (typically 1-3 depending on number of users)

Server software - all the server software needed to implement Microsoft CRM (including Windows 2000 Server, Active Directory, SQL Server 2000, Exchange 2000, Internet Information Services, and BizTalk Server Partner Edition)

Microsoft CRM software - server and client licenses

Support & maintenance - first-year service contracts (or extended contracts when leased through Microsoft Total Solution Financing - see below)

Services - complete installation, configuration and training

Optional RSA contract - one-year Remote System Administration contract (or extended contracts when leased through Microsoft Total Solution Financing - see below)

With SureStart Pilot, OfficeStandard will procure all the components and configure your complete system (including user profiles), place your completed, ready-to-go Microsoft CRM system in your computer room (within it's own domain), and connect it to your existing networks.

Your users can be up-and-running in hours and you will have a true .NET infrastructure. You can experience the benefits of Microsoft CRM and Web services today, while positioning your company for the future. You can begin porting other applications and services to your .NET backbone at your own pace, on your own terms. SureStart Pilot not only provides you with Microsoft CRM, it enables you to implement a long-term IT strategy built around .NET and Web services.

SureStart Rollout. The OfficeStandard SureStart Rollout program was developed for companies that meet the minimum hardware and software requirements for Microsoft CRM, are prepared to upgrade, or have already implemented the SureStart Pilot program. This solution includes:

Microsoft CRM software - server and client licenses (or simply add-on licenses)

Support & maintenance - first-year service contracts (or extended contracts when leased through Microsoft Total Solution Financing - see below)

Services - complete installation, configuration and training

SureStart Online. The OfficeStandard SureStart Online program was developed for companies that want to implement Microsoft CRM, but want their solution hosted by an Application Service Provider (ASP). This solution includes:

Microsoft CRM software - server and client licenses

Support & maintenance - first-year service contracts (or extended contracts when leased through Microsoft Total Solution Financing - see below)

Services - complete installation, configuration and training

Hosting services - online hosting with hardware and software system administration


Implementation Services.

Many Microsoft CRM resellers will tout their implementation methodologies (sometimes even trademarked) as their competitive advantage. But one of the key benefits of Microsoft CRM over existing solutions is simplicity and cost effectiveness. It does not require a complex and expensive methodology to implement Microsoft CRM.

Rather than build an expensive team of implementation consultants, OfficeStandard simply uses Microsoft Business Solutions’ own Consulting team to manage all Microsoft CRM implementations, while overseeing the project and retaining accountability for achieving customer goals. This translates into the following advantages for our customers:

Highly-trained, competent personnel. Our customers always know they are working with resources who are directly involved with the Microsoft CRM product, are well-trained, and have direct access to development personnel in Redmond and Fargo. We help our customers leverage Microsoft’s experience to identify and avoid many of the pitfalls that can put a project at risk. OfficeStandard ensures that our customers have access to people with expert technical and business process knowledge during the early and most critical stages of the project.

Proven implementation methodology. MBS Consulting utilizes a proven methodology called QuickStart for delivering Microsoft CRM. Their Implementation Guide and Implementation Toolkit minimize risk by helping to clearly define the project scope, accurately assess your needs and set clear expectations.

Flexible scheduling. With dozens of qualified MBS Consulting personnel in multiple locations, OfficeStandard can access appropriate resources to meet your unique scheduling needs. Rarely do we need to say “sorry, we won’t have a resource available that week” and we never have pressure to get resources “off the bench” and billable.

Integration Services.

Microsoft CRM offers robust integration capabilities via API’s (application programming interfaces) and Web services. OfficeStandard utilizes Microsoft Business Solutions’ Consulting personnel to deliver integration services, providing the same advantages to customers as listed above (see Implementation Services).

Total Solution Financing.


Not only can OfficeStandard offer a complete solution including hardware, software, and services, our customers can finance the entire project through Microsoft Business Solutions in concert with Microsoft Capital. "Total Solution Financing” from Microsoft makes the purchase and implementation of Microsoft CRM easier for small and medium-sized businesses around the world. Key elements include:

  • A choice of 36 or 60 month payment terms.
  • Interest rate – a competitive interest rate will be determined based on the size of the deal and the customer's credit status.
  • What is included - any Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) or Microsoft software product, software maintenance (including Foundation Services) for the life of the agreement, authorized MBS ISV add-on software, partner installation and implementation services and the required hardware to implement the solution.
  • MBS products covered - all software offered by MBS, including all editions (Microsoft CRM, Navision, Axapta, Great Plains and Solomon).
  • Ownership of software - the ownership of the software transfers to the customer at the end of the term of the loan agreement at no additional charge.
  • Deal size – there is no pre-set maximum or minimum. MBS reserves the right to request additional information for credit purposes on any deal. Financial statements will be required for deals over $100,000.

With Microsoft Total Solution Financing, you will probably find that the monthly per-user cost of implementing Microsoft CRM is even less than the monthly subscription cost of online CRM services. But of course with Microsoft CRM, after three or five years, you will own the software and the .NET technology foundation.
